2021年9月30日に作曲家すぎやまこういち氏がご逝去されました。
すぎやまこういち氏は、都響が全シリーズを録音している人気ゲーム『ドラゴンクエスト』の音楽を発売以来担当され、たくさんのコンサートでも都響を指揮するなど、長年にわたって都響を支えて頂きました。
すぎやま氏が生前都響に注いでくださった愛情に深く感謝し、10月21日の定期演奏会冒頭で、都響音楽監督・大野和士の指揮による追悼演奏を行いました。

Composer, Koichi Sugiyama, passed away on September 30, 2021.
Mr. Koichi Sugiyama was in charge of the music for the popular game “Dragon Quest” since its launch, for which the TMSO has recorded the entire series. He also conducted many of TMSO’s concerts supporting us over the years.
With our deepest gratitude for the love Mr. Sugiyama had given to the TMSO during his lifetime, the TMSO gave a memorial performance of his work at the beginning of the Subscription Concert on October 21 under the baton of TMSO Music Director, Kazushi Ono.
