Paavo Järvi sat down with us for another episode of «the art of conducting». The Estonian conductor is the chief conductor of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and the NHK Symphony Orchestra and artistic director of Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. He is also the founder and artistic director of the Pärnu Music Festival and the Estonian Festival Orchestra.
He talked to us about the conductor as teacher, his family’s inside knowledge and the different ways of communicating with an orchestra.
