From the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Richard Strauss Festival, Michael Helmrath conducts the Munich Philharmonic’s Chamber Orchestra, with soloists Marie Luise Neunecker (French horn) and Sabine Meyer (clarinet). The programme includes Strauss’s introduction for string sextet from Capriccio, the Concerto for French Horn and Orchestra No. 1 in E flat Op.11, Romance for Clarinet and Orchestra o.Op. AV.61 (the first-ever public performance of this archive work) and Der Bürger als Edelmann Op.60.
