Seiji Ozawa celebrated his 80th birthday on Sept. 1, 2015, with a gala concert during the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival in Nagano, Japan. This video shows him leading the Saito Kinen Orchestra, capped by a collective performance of “Happy Birthday.” On Aug. 1, 2015, Ozawa suffered a hip fracture while in Tokyo, forcing him to cancel a series of performances.
