San Francisco’s public schoolchildren sang Happy Birthday to the orchestra at an Adventures in Music concert, in honor of the Symphony’s 100th anniversary December 8, 2011. The orchestra’s first ever concert took place on Friday, Dec. 8, 1911 at 3:15 p.m. at San Francisco’s Cort Theater.
