Just as there is rhythm in a painting, there is color in music, and New York Philharmonic bassist Satoshi Okamoto suggests approaching your intonation practice as a chance to select your color palette. Do you want blue, gray, white, or something else? Then apply the color to the pitch you choose. You may be the only one to notice the difference, but it certainly makes practicing more fun!
