WHYY TV-12 will broadcast The Philadelphia Orchestra’s BeethovenNOW concert from March 12, 2020, which was performed to an empty Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts following concert cancellations due to COVID-19. In honor of Beethoven’s 250th birthday, Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and The Philadelphia Orchestra performed the composer’s 5th and 6th Symphonies in dialogue with a new work by composer Iman Habibi, Jeder Baum spricht (Every Tree Speaks).
