12 years old boy soprano Aksel Rykkvin recorded an album with one of Europe’s top period orchestras, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, in London, January 2016. A team from the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation with Arild Erikstad from the program “Hovedscenen” visited St. Augustine’s church during the sessions. The resulting 20 minutes feature was broadcast on Jan 31. NRK’s program description: “Aksel Rykkvin – world class boy soprano. 12 years old Aksel Rykkvin is enjoying great success as a boy soprano both here at home and abroad. Now he is invited to London to record an album with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and Arild Erikstad reports from the recording.”
