On the last day of the year 2013, the Bamberg Symphony played two New Year’s concerts almost at the same time – but on two continents. While one half of the orchestra stayed in Bamberg for the traditional concert on December 31, the other half travelled to China. In the Great Hall of the People they performed the official Chinese New Year’s concert under the baton of Principal Conductor Jonathan Nott.
