Deutsche Grammophon continues its digitization of the video archives with a special concert given by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra with Zubin Mehta to celebrate the orchestra’s 75th anniversary with a concert in the spectacular Hangar 11 at the harbor in Tel Aviv on December 24th, 2011. They were joined on this occasion by three outstanding soloists – Evgeny Kissin, Vadim Repin, and Julian Rachlin. Russian pianist Evgeny Kissin is one of the most distinguished musicians of his generation, revered the world over by audiences and critics alike for the virtuosity and eloquence of his pianism and the imagination and insight of his interpretations. Enjoy this performance of Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E Minor, Op. 11: III. Rondo Vivace by Evgeny Kissin accompanied by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Zubin Metha.
