This is the theme song for another animated Studio Ghibli movie “Castle in the Sky” directed by none other than Hayao Miyazaki. Joe Hisaishi is such a talented composer and his melodies really help to add emotional depth to the story.
I am debuting my new 29 string Sonnet lap harp by Musicmaker. I am ecstatic about the galaxy purple finish which made the harp look divinely beautiful! It’s made with curly maple wood which has a very clear and clean tone. The original tuning is C-C but I prefer a warmer tone. So I tuned it down to A-A and it now plays perfect for me in terms of tonal quality and string tension (the lowest strings are not in the correct colors yet). The lower strings are very warm and resonant for a lap harp. I am discovering that I am more and more in love with lap harps and I’m having a blast exploring its possibilities 🙂 Hope you like this arrangement!
