Dong Hyek Lim & Martha Argerich play Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances

On Dong Hyek Lim’s all-Rachmaninov album, he is joined by the legendary Martha Argerich in the composer’s two-piano transcription of his last major work, the enthralling and enigmatic Symphonic Dances: https://w.lnk.to/dhlrLY

In the course of the 2018-19 season, Dong Hyek made several concert appearances with Argerich, notably as a participant in June’s Martha Argerich Festival in Hamburg. In 2002, when he was just 18 years old, she introduced him to the world with a CD in the series ‘Martha Argerich Presents’ (released at the time on EMI Classics).

The other main work of this album puts Dong Hyek in the role of soloist with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Alexander Vedernikov, in Rachmaninov’s much-loved Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor.
