Minoru Nojima, Suzumi, Yasuda, Takashi Asahina – Beethoven Triple Concerto – video 1988

I’m sharing this for the chance to see several musicians who are hardly or not at all on video. Minoru Nojima studied with Lev Oborin and is one of the finest pianists today. Kishiko Suzumi (1952-1997) had several violin works dedicated to her. She unfortunately died young of lung cancer. Kenichiro Yasuda studied with Pierre Fournier and placed third at the ’66 Tchaikovsky Competition. This concert celebrates the 80th birthday of Takashi Asahina who’s conducting the Osaka Philharmonic in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, op. 56, in 1988.
