It was the event of the classical world this autumn: the Berliner Philharmoniker’s Beethoven cycle with Sir Simon Rattle. An audio and video recording of the whole cycle will be released in spring 2016 – but you can already experience Symphonies Nos. 1 and 6 on CD and DVD in an exclusive limited advance edition of only 1,000 copies which is not commercially available. This is how it works: Order a 12-Month Ticket for the Digital Concert Hall for 149 euros (approx. US$ 159 or £ 105) by 25 December either for yourself or for a friend. The CD and DVD will be sent to you free of charge starting from 6 December.
