Bamberg in Bavaria is a centre of Poetry Slam and Spoken Word. Furthermore, in 2014 the music world celebrated the 150th anniversary of Richard Strauss. So, the Bamberg Symphony and three nation-wide known poetry slammers started an extraordinary cooperation: Why not bring tone poetry and poetry slam together? Clara Nielsen, Max Kennel and Christian Ritter competed with each other on the stage of the Bamberg concert hall, reciting their own texts on a very special topic: »An Alpine Symphony« by Richard Strauss. The Bamberg Symphony was conducted by Principal Conductor Jonathan Nott.
