Deux Poèmes (Two Poems), opus 32

Deux Poèmes (Two Poems) is a work composed on the 1903 by Alexander Scriabine (also transliterated as Scriabin or Skrjabin) that illustrates perfectly the earliest stage of Scriabine’s musical panorama, which is mainly constituted by a Chopinesque romantic style. The Opus 32 is formed by two movements or poems, that are the musical form of Scriabine’s romantic impromptus.

· Poème I (Op. 32/1): in F# Major (0:00 to 3:10)
· Poème II (Op. 32/2): in D Major (3:10 to 4:34)

The skillful performance of Heinrich Neuhaus allow the hearer capture the wistful essence of the First Poem and the exuberant explosion of intense feelings, present in the Second Poem. Neuhaus knowed exactly how to focus on the nascent vehemence of the russian genious, which had progressively augmented until his final work.
