Midori Goto(五嶋 みどり)Plays Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35

Midori Gotō (五嶋 みどり, Gotō Midori) (born October 25, 1971) is a violinist. She made her debut at the age of 11 in a last minute change of programming during a concert by the New York Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta highlighting young performers. When she was 21, she formed the philanthropic group Midori and Friends to help bring music to children in New York City. She is internationally renowned as a performer.[1] In 2007, she was selected as a UN Messenger of Peace.
